What is it like to live in Canyon Gate?

Canyon Gate is one of the original guard gated golf communities in Las Vegas. The Ted Robinson course at Canyon Gate Country Club opened in 1989, the LPGA played here in 1993, and the homes around it went up through the late 1980s and 1990s. Today the streets have the big trees and palms that newer neighborhoods are still waiting on, and many homes look out over a fairway.

The guard gate is the main thing people mention. Everyone who comes in, from guests to the pool guy, is called in or on a list, which makes the neighborhood feel quiet for how central it is. Sahara Avenue is right outside, The Lakes is across the street, and Summerlin and the 215 are a few minutes west.

Buying a home here does not make you a club member. Canyon Gate Country Club is run by Invited, and membership is open to anyone, including people who live outside the gates. Plans range from full golf to racquet and social memberships, with tennis, pickleball, a pool, fitness, and dining at the clubhouse. Your HOA dues cover the gate and the neighborhood, and the club bills separately if you join.
