What is it like to live in Red Rock Country Club?

Red Rock Country Club is the golf community on the west side of Summerlin, built around two Arnold Palmer courses with Red Rock Canyon and the Spring Mountains behind it. Sunrise Colony Company developed it on land bought from Howard Hughes, and the club and first homes opened in the late 1990s. Today the 738 acre village has about 1,000 homes behind guard gates staffed 24 hours.

The homes cover a wide range. Builders included Toll Brothers, Sunrise Colony, and custom builders, so you will find production homes, semi-custom homes, and custom estates, on lots from about a sixth of an acre to close to an acre. Many back onto a fairway, and homes higher up look east over the valley to the Strip.

The club is a separate business from the HOA. The Mountain course is private for members, and the Arroyo sells public tee times. A main clubhouse and a sports clubhouse have dining, a fitness center, a spa, pools, and tennis and pickleball courts. Membership is optional, with several levels from social to full golf, and none of it comes with the home, so budget for it on its own if you want it.

Red Rock Country Club is in Summerlin South, in unincorporated Clark County. Owners pay the Summerlin South master association and the Red Rock Country Club association, and some gated enclaves inside add a third. The Ridges is a different guard gated village nearby with its own gates and HOA.
