Who built Aliante, and when?

Aliante opened in May 2003. Del Webb and American Nevada Corporation formed North Valley Enterprises, bought about 1,900 acres from the City of North Las Vegas at a 2001 land auction, and broke ground in 2002. D.R. Horton, KB Home, Pardee Homes, and Pulte built most of the neighborhoods, and Del Webb built Sun City Aliante for buyers 55 and older.

The plan set aside about a fifth of the land for parks, trails, and schools, along with commercial land for shopping and a hotel casino. Aliante Golf Club opened in late 2003, the Aliante Library opened in 2006, and the casino opened in 2008 as Aliante Station. Most homes were built between 2003 and the late 2000s, so you are buying resale, not new construction, in most of the community.
