Southern Highlands is made up of smaller neighborhoods, including Cortona, The Cove, The Legends, The Masters, Olympia Ridge, Royal Highlands, Tuscan Cliffs, San Niccolo, and Bella Terra, and each has its own homes, lots, and price range. A few more do not have a page of their own here: Monterosso, five gated sections built from 2001 to 2004, from single-story homes up to about 4,000 square feet; Montecito, two gated sections, Classico and Tesoro, of mostly single-story homes from 2001 and 2002; and Vintage Valley, about 100 custom estates behind a second gate inside the golf club.
Southern Highlands is a master-planned community at the south end of the valley, known for mature landscaping, gated neighborhoods, and big homes on streets that still feel like a neighborhood. The community is home to professional athletes, casino executives, and poker professionals. Day to day it is shops, restaurants, parks, a farmers market, and events through the year. With gated neighborhoods, a few guard-gated ones, and the private Southern Highlands Golf Club at its center, buyers can pick how much gate and how much golf they want.
Most homes here were built between 1999 and 2010, with newer custom construction inside the club gates and on the ridge lots. HOA fees are modest for the master association and vary by neighborhood.
